亞洲大學（Asia University, Taiwan）The exhibition “Forever Young” started from Aug. 8 in Asia Museum of Modern Art at Asia University (AU). This joint exhibition includes forty works of paintings, paper sculptures, and sintered-metal and installation arts, etc. by guest artists Nara Yoshitomo from Japan, Hong-bo Li from China, and Char-wei Tsai and Nick Dong in Taiwan. This is the first fine-art exhibition at Asia Museum of Modern Art in recent two years after the museum was opened in 2013.

The opening press conference of the exhibition “Forever Young” was held on Aug. 7 in the museum, with artists Hong-bo Li, Char-wei Tsai and Nick Dong joining the conference. AU Founder Chang-Hai Tsai said in his opening speech that the invited artists for this exhibition are all young, hoping that with this exhibition they can be introduced to the world more widely.

Nick Dong mentioned that fun and curiosity are the original motivations of every artist; and they should be kept forever in the heart! “Young people should always be curious, about oneself, others, the world, and the reality of everything,” said Dong. Artist Hong-Bo Li from China said that a baby is just like a clean paper, and we should sprinkle color on paper like that while we are young. “Everybody possesses youth  going to be young, being young, or having been young; and this is just the “youth” which we should be proud of,” said Li.

The director of Asia Museum of Modern Art at AU, Me-Lin Li, mentioned that some of the artists joining the exhibition are famous artists and some are regarded as promising, and each has a unique style in his/her artworks. For example, Nick Dong has been nominated as one of the “40-under-40” artists and invited for artwork exhibition in the National Gallery of Art in the USA; at the age of 28, Char-wei Tsai was invited to exhibit his performance-art works the Pompidou Center in Paris, France; Japanese artist Nara Yoshitomo is already an "indicative artist" in Asian auction art markets; and Hong-Bo Li’s stacked-paper sculpture works have attracted intensive international attention.

It is mentioned by the way that Asia Museum of Modern Art at AU is right now trying hard to invite Nara Youshitomo to Taiwan to share her ideas of art creation.
